doctorsticken-e1350357554320Throughout my academic and professional career I have worked with children, adolescents, and adults. My areas of focus during graduate school including working with adolescents and adults who have had difficulty with substance abuse and dependence. I completed my doctoral internship at Pine Grove Behavioral Health and Addiction Services Doctoral Internship in Professional Psychology (formerly the Southern Mississippi Psychology Internship Consortium). I worked at Gentle Path and trained directly under Dr. Patrick Carnes. I have been working with adults who have had difficulty with compulsive sexual behaviors and/or loved ones of someone who is struggling. I am a clinical psychologist and the owner of Solace Psychological Services. My therapeutic approach is open, genuine, and direct. I provide a comfortable, supportive, and safe place that allows individuals to work on personal life challenges. Together we will work collaboratively to identify unhealthy/problematic thoughts that lead to old patterns of behavior that may not be helpful or useful to you at the present time.  I provide support and practical/reality based feedback that can motivate individuals to strive for a more meaningful relationship with themselves and with others.
